  • Petrobras is attempting to build a 45 km road from the Napo River into the national park in order to extract oil from Nenke and Apaika. Petrobras would also build a large processing facility within the park as well.

    This proposed road and processing facility has been the source of much of the controversy over the past year. However, the following slides illustrates that the problem is actually much more serious
